I Think I See A Connection

Okay.  Yesterday, I was craving a diet pepsi bad, so Junior went up to the store, and got me a 44 ounce in ice.  Now, normally, I would drink that entire thing in about 30 minutes.  Yesterday, it took me about four hours to drink the whole thing.

Today, I did the same thing, but add to it a diet coke at the Chinese restaurant, with a refill.

Tonight, my lower back and left side is hurting again.  It has to be related to all that soda.  The good news is that I also drank over a gallon of water, too.

I seriously think I could float away right about now...

I get pains in my breasts and sides when I drink anything with caffeine. It constricts the blood vessels.

Jeannette ~ I have heard that. One day when I was out with my mom, I was complaining of breast pain, which I thought was due to scar tissue from the reduction, and my mom said it could be from caffeine.

Miss Donna ~ I've never had one before, so I have no idea if that is actually what it is. All I know is that I was hurting, and nothing helped me feel better.

It probably is the soda. Maybe you might have a slight infection. I just wish I could give up caffeine. We went to Walmart today, oh, I got those Banquet pies today, Thanks!! :) and, but, I also got 1 case of coke zero and one case of diet pepsi. I drink two canes a day, or a 32 ounce at our local convenience store. I really need to give it up!

You can really drink too much water, really....

It's Not How Much You Drink, It's How Fast You Drink It!

The kidneys of a healthy adult can process fifteen liters of water a day! You are unlikely to suffer from water intoxication, even if you drink a lot of water, as long as you drink over time as opposed to intaking an enormous volume at one time. As a general guideline, most adults need about three quarts of fluid each day. Much of that water comes from food, so 8-12 eight ounce glasses a day is a common recommended intake. You may need more water if the weather is very warm or very dry, if you are exercising, or if you are taking certain medications. The bottom line is this: it's possible to drink too much water, but unless you are running a marathon or an infant, water intoxication is a very uncommon condition.

So, please be careful !! :) I care !!

Dawn ~ I have a drink by my side all day, every day. I am constantly drinking. I usually drink diet sprite (which is caffeine free) and then diet pepsi at restaurants, because they don't usually have the diet sprite. mine is not a caffeine addiction...I just like soda. And apparently, it's killing me! lol!
